lyrics
Philosophy is foreign
Religion is absurd
Heuristics as process
Cant or the word
Articles written
Comprehension obscured
So much detritus
So mentally blurred
He is Middle Man
He does what he can
To try and understand these things
He is Middle Man
He follows no plan today
So many distractions
So much to endure
A life out of balance
Take time out to cure
A septic environment
A holy man’s lies
Step back and shut it out
Just close your eyes
He is Middle Man
He does what he can
To try and understand these things
He is Middle Man
He follows no plan today
I am Middle Man
I’ll do what I can
To try and understand these things
I am Middle Man
I’ll follow no plan today

Lyrics and music by Ron Rutherford
Great Prog album with so much detail. Superb musicianship and very well constructed. Ben obviously loves what he does and so do I.
VERY enjoyable journey. Robert Wallace
Billed as the masters of symphonic prog this album is an interesting of styles and influences. Folky in parts, rocky in others.
Vocals are good and male for a change. Both lyrics and music are involving and all in all this album is a good listen.
I will be looking at The Gift's other offerings. Russell Whyman
Came to this band very late and I must confess only because they were playing various dates with one of my firm favs Kaprekar’s Constant so I thought I’d better take a listen to what they had on offer...and well I now have all three albums and a huge convert...so much so that the neighbours will get to know them too over the next few weeks...if you ever get a chance to watch them live...you are in for a big treat...they command the stage and the audience as their own...
